Dr. Aaron Andersen, D.O. is the owner and founder of Synergic Mind Neuropsychiatry and is a nuclear-trained neuropsychiatrist who is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He specializes in the integration of clinical psychiatry with functional brain imaging, artificial intelligence (AI), neuroscience, molecular medicine, and neurotechnology. He believes that psychiatry should be at the forefront of science, and he founded Synergic Mind with a goal of bringing more sophisticated technology and brain science to the war against mental illness.

He strongly values a patient's right to make educated choices about their care, which includes having information about both traditional and cutting-edge treatments. He believes the goal of psychiatry should be precision care that is individualized to each patient's unique personality and needs.

While in residency he completed elective rotations in neuroradiology/nuclear medicine. In 2016 he began a serious study of brain SPECT imaging doing didactic work followed by a preceptorship. He has spent a significant amount of time studying neuroscience, connectomics, and molecular medicine research with a goal of finding more effective treatments and advancing the science of psychiatry. He also has an interest in neuroscience based technology and the use of AI in medicine. He has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and consult-liaison settings as a general psychiatrist as well as chief medical officer/medical director on 3 different occasions.
